Kids Teach Kids Financial Literacy

Donation protected
The Entrepreneurship Academy at Spanish River High School  has launched a campaign in which kids teach kids financial literacy. A children's book was written, authored by Shayna Schulman, to teach children how to properly save, spend and manage their money. "Dylan and Peggy the Piggy Bank" tells of a little girl who learns to save her money to purchase a bike on her own. The story engages students and challenges them to set their own financial goals. In addition to the book, we make financial literacy exciting by playing a money game and donating mini piggy banks to students.

We have already donated almost 500 books to four schools in Palm Beach County. However, we've been asked to expand the campaign to as many of the 107 elementary schools in the county as possible and need your help in obtaining finance.

Please donate to help us at Spanish River DECA share our fun twist on a financial literacy lesson with the students. All donations contribute towards printing books and purchasing mini piggy banks. Thank you on behalf of all of us at Spanish River DECA!
