Hi we are Sienna and Cailyn. We are 16 year old twins from the Twin Cities.
This year we have made some amazing new friends, all exchange students, from around the world. They have inspired us and opened our eyes to the diversity and beauty of the world around us.
We have also had some great teachers. They have changed our lives and shown us the importance of education. Our English teacher Molly Koppel, invited us to join her and eleven other students, on a service trip to Ecuador.
On our trip we will help to build a school for children in a town outside Chimborazo. We will also be learning about Ecuadorian culture and the community we will be helping.
The trip is sponsered by an organization called Me to We. The organization was founded by Craig and Marc Kielberger, who also started the charity Free the Children when Marc was 12 years old.
We want to go on this trip so that we can help make a difference in the world, and help children gain access to education, something so many people take for granted. We want to see this world change for the better, and we know that every act, big or small, goes a long way.
