My gofund me account is for my adopted grandson Khalil, My grandson came into our family at 3 months old after being placed in foster care.
He has several medical diagnosis.
Ceberal Palsy
Autism
PICA
Tourettes
Gastro Paresis
He is mostly non verbal, but communicates with a few signs and gestures.
He cannot crawl or walk, and depends on his mom for everything. From being fed, to bathing, and all of his everyday living skills.
He is a big boy, he is 16 now and a lot has changed since he was adopted.
Since my daughters back surgery and my grandsons growth spurt,
It is impossible for my daughter to lift him. He is currently weighing in at 127 pounds, therefore we would like to purchase a BRUNO VALET MOBILITY SEAT for the van that is used for Khalils medical appointments, this would also be a great thing so that Khalil can go to the park, or just get in the van for a nice summer ride.
He loves to GO!
Khalils adoption services insurance will not cover vehicle modifications, and many other things that would improve his quality of life.
In addition to the BRUNO VALET SEAT, we are in need of a wheelchair ramp modification as to be able to load his wheelchair into the van without haveing the need to lift his chair, it currently is 78 pounds.
Khalil would also greatly benefit from a handicapped accessible shower, of which insurance will not accomodate.
Once these items are purchased, any funding would be used for items his insurance will not pay for and items to improve his happiness and quality of life.
Because thats what its all about.
