Endo the Blind

Donation protected

Endo the Blind and Morgan Wagner are an incredible inspiration .

The two of them are a testament to the power of love and determination.  Endo, who is completely blind, had to have both eyes surgically removed because of recurring medical complications related to uveitis, cataracts, and glaucoma. His owner, Morgan, has her own medical challenges.  She was diagnosed with Lupus several years ago and is dealing with the debilitating effects of that auto-immune disease.

Together, the two of them are reaching for the stars!

Morgan and Endo successfully compete in one of the most challenging disciplines available to horse riders: Working Equitation. This sport has three parts. The first involves dressage (riding a pattern to demonstrate technical quality as one performs a series of challenging maneuvers).  The second is called Ease of Handling (being judged on the quality with which one negotiates a variety of obstacles including crossing a bridge and clearing a jump, both of which present particular challenges for a blind horse). The final trial is Speed (performing the obstacles in a race against the clock, with the fastest time winning).

Because of her illness, Morgan's finances are severely limited.  This GoFundMe campaign is designed to provide a means by which people can support the two of them through providing riding lessons, opportunities to study with visiting clinicians, and assisting with the costs of entering and traveling to competitions.

In 2015, Endo and Morgan placed 2nd in the Ease of Handling trial at the Andalusian World Cup in Las Vegas, finishing 4th Overall in the very competitive Intermediate Level Class.

They traveled to Texas in October of 2015 to compete at the Haras Cup Working Equitation National Championships, where they beat top international and domestic riders to place 5th of 17 in the Intermediate Ease of Handling trial.

In 2016, Morgan would like to continue to develop her own and Endo's skills, and we are asking you to join Team Endo and support their continued journey.

Morgan's goal is to help show others that those with disabilities (whether human or horse) still have value.  Her goal is to take Endo as far as he can safely go. With your help, that can be far indeeed!

Please consider donating today (every bit helps!), and become part of their continuing story of success.
