We have some dogs in our care that are in need of surgery and ongoing medical care.
Carmone is a large Rhodesian Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix that has a condition called Entropion. This is an eye condition in which the eyelid is rolled inward against the eyeball, typically caused by muscle spasm or by inflammation or scarring of the conjunctiva.
Maddox, a pitbull mix, is another dog in our care that has a rather sad story. Maddox was just recently diagnosed with Cerebellar Ataxia, Cerebellar Cortico Degeneration, and Cerebellitis. Basically, these are degenerative nerve diseases that will eventually cause him to lose control of his body. We have since moved him to his own room, and are doing all we can to keep him extra comfortable. He will require increasing medical care as his condition worsens, but right now he is doing alright. Your donation will be a great help to both of these cases.
In addition to these two pups, we just had two dogs, Rennie and Maxi, undergo surgery. Rennie just recently underwent surgery to repair her ACL, and Maxi had a large tumor removed from her stomach.
Any amount you could donate would help to give these dogs a little more joy and comfort in their lives.
