KEVYN JAYSON DAVENPORT, WHO JUST TURNED 30 IN APRIL, WAS IN HIS LAST YEAR OF ANESTHESIA RESIDENCY AT LOMA LINDA UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER, TRAGICALLY AND UEXPECTEDLY PASSED AWAY ON 7/30 /17. THERE WILL BE A MEMORIAL SERVICE AT EL MORRO CHURCH OF NAZARENE ON SEPTEMBER 16, 2017 AT 11 AM.

It's been a little over 2 weeks since I woke up to Mom learning of your tragic passing; those first minutes, hours were a nightmare for all of us. This last week has been a roller coaster of tears, emotions, blessings of outpouring of love and support from friends and family. And the ONLY reason I am not a complete basket-case and can see some of the good from this unimaginable tragedy, is because we know you are resting in the arms of OUR FATHER JESUS CHRIST.  But gosh darn it Kev! I am going to miss you so much little bro! You left this world way too soon. You were such a kind-hearted, gentle, passionate soul. Your smile and laughter was electricfying . You were our peacemaker, our Switzerland, from the day you were born. You were a light in a dark place. You were silly, courageous grace at it's best. You exemplified unconditional love to all. There is so much more I could say, but you know how much you were loved, and because of that you have made a lasting positive impact on so many lives. We only hope that we can honor your life by living our lives to the fullest with a selfless and greatful heart, and helpful, calm, positive attitude,  always seeing the good in others. Until we see each other again in Heaven-IN A BLINK OF AN EYE!   WE LOVE YOU KEV!
Your sister, Emily and family.

Kevyn's passion, other than God, medicine, family and friends, was rock climbing. In his honor we hope to raise funds to sponsor a Kevyn Davenport Memorial Climbing Wall to be erected at one of the campuses where he spent so many years in study and gathering of friends and colleagues on his road to becoming an anesthesiologist.

Your contributions to this site will help to make this happen and perhaps you will be able to try it out someday and learn to love the sport he loved so much.
