Keto the K-9 Dog (Police Dog)

Donation protected
Hey! My name is Cristy Tate. I am the daughter of Retired Lt in NJ and also the proud cousin and sister of 3  F/T Law Enforcement Officers. Throughout my fathers career, and now the careers of my family, we have experienced many drug related tragedies. We lost a great friend and fellow officer in 2014 due to a tragic automobile accident and our younger cousin in 2017 due to a fatal overdose of heroin. While being active in the Law Enforcement community is extremely rewarding, it hits home sometimes a little too hard. K-9's have the capability to make a direct impact on the overwhelming drug trafficking and drug abuse throughout Ocean County and NJ in general. Keto is a new member to our family and also the Pine Beach Police Department. His owner is a Full Time Police Officer and also dedicated to making a difference in the community he serves and deter future events, (like the ones our family and many others have suffered), from occurring again. So, I am excited to set this Go Fund Me up to assist in helping my cousin and the Pine Beach Police Department make a difference in our communities! Heres a bit about Keto and the Valor Task Force:

The K-9 VALOR Task Force is a registered 501C Nonprofit and is happy to announce “KETO,” who is the first ever K-9 in the Pine Beach PD history. Ptl. O’Kinsky (his owner)  has been selected to become the first K-9 handler. K-9 Task Force is seeking donations to help train and maintain a canine. The K-9 until will be used to assist in the effort to combat crime in our town, and surrounding towns that border us who may need our assistance. Keto will be a dual purpose dog, certified in both narcotics detection and patrol. This means that he will be trained to alert on several different narcotics and would be able to immediately address any missing person incident and search for suspects involved in burglaries, armed robberies and many other crimes.

As we know, there is an unfortunate heroin epidemic going on throughout NJ. Keto will be a large part of ensuring that we can continue to make a positive  mark on this epidemic and not only assist in safe guarding our community, but also surrounding Ocean County communities.

We are approximately $8000 from reaching our total goal to help fund the necessities for the K-9 program to be completed. The K-9 Valor Task Force is reaching out to business’, community organizations and individuals to donate funds to help purchase equipment, provide the proper training and medical care and other needs to support and maintain this unit.

Donations can be made via this Go Fund Me page or can also be made privately via check. Checks can be made payable to the “K-9 Valor Task Force” and in the memo box can be written “Pine Beach Police Department” and can be mailed to the address below:
