Kerala Floods - Relief Campaign

Kerala(southern state of India) has been hit with one of the most devastating floods, over 350 people have died so far, and 300,000 have been left homeless, and without further relief, more are at risk. We want to help provide for those that are at risk.
So what is the situation now? With the help of government officials and private samaritans, large amounts of people have been rescued, and moved to camps and relief centers throughout Kerala, even though many are still at risk. However, due to the lack of efficient transportation and logistics due to the devastation caused by the floods, people in camps are lacking the basic human resources, such as clean water, food, warm clothes, sanitary pads, nappies, milk formula, and medical supplies.
So who are we? We are a group of youths, who are based in Croydon, UK, directly working with a group of volunteers in Bangalore who are on a mission to go to Kerala and make an immediate impact.
We all have families that are directly affected by the flooding and therefore feel the pain and distress.
We plan to initiate several movements to provide relief for the victims of the floods in Kerala. The fund raised will be used in few different ways to provide efficient support to the relief camps. The following is a brief of the missions we are trying to achieve.
We have over 30 individuals based in Bangalore and over 8 in the UK(helping fundraising)
This fund will be used to help the volunteers in Bangalore buy the required items that are immediately needed for people in Kerala, and transport the resources to people that are in most distress.
What exactly is our plan? Our plan is to transport goods from Bangalore and Salem to relief camps based in Thrissur and Palakkad. ( 1 TRUCK HAS ALREADY REACHED KERALA AND DELIVERED THE EMERGENCY GOODS!!),
As the youth of UK, we are trying to cooperate with other UK coordinators to transport emergency goods such as clothes, medicines, napkins etc via cargo to Kerala. Our coordinators are in touch with national carriers Air India and Jet Airways, both of whom are offering free cargo space on their weekly flights. We plan to collect as many items as possible to be sent off to Kerala.
What do we want from you? Please donate whatever you can and spread awareness of this devastating situation.
