Kenny Sadar Memorial Fundraiser

Kenneth (Kenny) Lee Sadar

3/31/59 – 9/25/15

Kenny was born in Longmont, CO to Rodney and Roberta Sadar on March 31, 1959.  Kenny died September 25, 2015 of a massive heart attack following surgery at Porter Adventist Hospital, Denver, CO.  Kenny lived his entire life on his family’s farm in Hygiene, CO.  Kenny attended Hygiene Elementary, Longs Peak Jr. High, and Niwot High School.

Kenny married Sue De Sousa on February 8, 1986 at the Hygiene Methodist Church.  He is survived by his loving wife Sue, children Tyler (Miranda) and Keri (Tom), mother Roberta, sisters Deborah (Randy), Penny (friend Scott), brother in-laws JV (Ann), Dan (Linda) and numerous nieces and nephews.   Kenny was preceded in death by his father Rodney Sadar, in-laws Joseph & Patricia DeSousa, and brother in law Mike Trevithick.

Kenny was a dairy farmer, raised beef cattle and hay.  He served 30+ years as a fireman with the Hygiene Volunteer Fire Department.   Kenny was an avid fisherman, so much so, that he proposed to Sue with a ring attached to a worm harness and honeymooned on a Canadian fishing trip.  Kenny’s favorite fishing spot was Seminoe Reservoir in Wyoming where he caught many trophy fish.  Kenny and Sue traveled annually to Freeport on Grand Bahama Island with family and friends to fish and relax.  Kenny also loved hunting, camping, pawnshops, and Craigslist.  One would argue that Kenny’s favorite activity could be found six mornings a week at the Hygiene Café where he would share tall tales, and drink coffee with many of his local favorite friends all the while his loyal four legged companions, Blue and Squirt stood guard on his flat-bed truck. Not to be left out, Kenny attached a basket to his tractor for the little dog Tatum, so he too could work alongside him.

A celebration of Kenny’s life will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 @ 10:30 am at Rocky Mountain Christian Church in Niwot, 9447 Niwot Drive, Longmont, CO. Please wear casual attire.  A luncheon reception will follow at The Tasty Weasel, 1800 Pike Road, Longmont, CO.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Weld County Yelpers Turkey Federation.  A benefit will be held on Friday, October 9, in order to offset medical expenses at the Tasty Weasel.  Oskar Blues will be donating a percentage of sales to the family.  If you are unable to attend the fund raiser, donations are being accepted at https://www.gofundme.com/kennysadar.
