Kelsi’s Surgery

My beautiful niece Kelsi is a student and cheerleader at Lubbock Christian University, majoring in Exercise Sports Science. She is an amazing daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend to all. If you know her, you know her spirit, her laugh and her heart. After suffering a concussion during cheer and failing the sports ImPACT test numerous times after, Kelsi was sent to the ER where a cat scan was done. The doctor at that time found a cyst on her brain and she was referred to a neurologist. After further testing done by the neurologist, a high signal neural nodule (tumor) was found along with the cyst, on the left side of her brain. She will be undergoing surgery on December 10th to remove the tumor. She does have insurance, however, my brother and sister in law are needing to come up with the deductible as well as other medical cost that will come up after the surgery. As many of you know, my brother, Kelsi’s dad, had a heart attack in August, which set them back financially as he recovered.  This is hitting them pretty hard spiritually as well as financially especially around Christmas.
