Kelly's Tramatic Brain Injury Fund

Donation protected
Our Dear Kelly Wickham, Sister, Aunt &  Flight Attendant friend has taken an unfortunate fall on June 3, 2018.  She was found at the bottom of her stairs where she possibly had been for over an hour.  When EMS reached her they said she was only taking one breath per minute which lead us to believe that she could possible have severe brain damage from lack of oxygen to the brain.

Kelly was in the ICU for over two weeks where they had to remove half her skull to relieve the pressure from her brain being so swollen.

Kelly being a strong and spunky woman finally showed life after two weeks of being incapacitated; she then was moved to a Rehabilitation Center on June 25, 2018 where they removed her trachea tube and are now trying to wean her from her feeding tube by introducing her to soft foods.  The next step for Kelly will be a Long Term Rehabilitation Facility that will provide both Physical and Speech Therapy.

Kelly should survive, but it will be a long road back to a normal life if she makes it.

One of the biggest obstacles Kelly has going on is the fact that she is a single woman and, like most of us never imagining anything like this would happen in her life, had nothing set up to handle such matters.
Kelly had already been off from work from a job related injury for almost two years and so now with this horrific accident she is looking at medical costs that likely exceed the price of an average home.

Her youngest sister has stepped up to the plate and is obtaining temporary guardianship so she can handle all Kelly's financial and decision making matters that need attending to while the rest of us, her Flight Attendant family, are trying to help out in any way that we can.

Kelly's sisters should be concerned about one thing and that is getting Kelly the care that she will need without having to worry about the costs of that care.  This fund is being set up to lessen the burden of her current medical-related expenses and future recovery/therapy expenses.  If you have the means to donate any amount, no matter how small, know that it will be used to ensure Kelly has what she needs during her road to recovery.

Kelly's sisters thank you along with all her Dear and Close friends for your love and support.

Prayers and positive energy are so powerful and much appreciated!

Kelly can take all the love and support you can share and as Kelly's voice message says on her iPhone, "Take Care and God Bless"

This GoFundMe account is being setup because we have had so many requests from her Flight Attendant family on how they can help Kelly, and being that they cannot do anything physical for her, we decided this would benefit her most because we have no idea how long it will take for her full recovery.  These monies will go towards her mortgage payment along with many medical bills that will need to be paid.  It is with this GoFundMe account that we hope to lessen her family's burden.
I personally have set this account up for Kelly's benefit and being that I do not have access to her banking information withdrawals are being held in a separate banking account that I have set up for her.  Once the funds are needed by her or her family to handle her finances I will then transfer the monies over to their bank account.  I am adding this to her story per request of the GoFundMe authorities to show that I am in no way taking advantage of raising these monies for no other purpose than to help our sister Kelly. <3
