Can you help keep our rescue open?

UPDATE FOR THE NEW YEAR!! 2019 means a renewed hope for our wildlife.
The rescue is now secured for the future. It has finally been bought outright with the incredible funds raised from our campaign, and will soon be run co-operatively. Thank you to everyone involved in this achievement!
We will soon be undertaking more fundraising to help clear the generous loan we received from Linda at the 11th hour, but for now, to all the sharers, donators, animal lovers and to those who want to see a change in how we view animals - a huge THANK YOU!

FINALLY SOME REALLY POSITIVE NEWS:
An offer has finally, and formally, been accepted by the co-owner and we are now undertaking one final bid to raise funds to take us to the £190,000 offer mark! We need £6500 by mid-January to enable us to take on cooperative ownership of the Rescue property. This is amazing news and means that there is a strong probability of keeping the rescue running indefinitely, where it has been until now, being a voice for animals in need. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us! Although we can never forget that this fundraiser has been so successful to the tune of £41,905 (!) we have started a new fundraiser with the new target of £6500 in mind. If you would like to donate just a little more to help us seal this final deal for animals, or to share with your friends and family, please make your way to www.gofundme.com/OneLastPushForTheRescue
A million thanks to you all

DECEMBER UPDATE: With the official deadline having passed now, we put forward an offer to the co-owner of funds raised to-date which unfortunately has been rejected . HOWEVER we are working with a solicitor to establish what offer would be accepted. Therefore we are still actively fundraising to maximise our options and because the rescue is - against the odds - still open and still running, thanks entirely to the help of everyone who has supported us.
PLEASE keep donating as every penny will help us to carry on helping the animal community that so needs it.
Please also follow our Facebook page for regular updates.
Thank you

UPDATE: Many of you may know our original findraising target was based on the expectation that we had a loan in place to purchase the rescue property. We have had to change our target to reflect a revised need. As it stands now, the loan which we had been assured of receiving, has been declined and the property is now under threat of having to be sold on by the end of November. Not only has our rescue run out of time, the disabled and domesticated animals who reside with us in sanctuary now have an uncertain future.

We know this campaign is a huge ask but every donation, every share helps us towards that goal. There is now a huge urgency to this campaign and if we are going to survive this, it’s going to mean involvement from a huge number of people. We are working hard to find a major sponsor or an alternative loan. In the meantime, if you can raise awareness of this fundraiser and give anything you can, however small, the rescue will still have a chance. We do have hope and feel this is worth trying for. Thank you for your support, on behalf of those in need.

Peggy and Ginger are two precious foxes whose lives have been saved through the efforts of our rescue and it's supporters.

We now need your help more than ever to keep up this vital work for all wildlife in need!

If you follow our Facebook page - Bexhill and Hastings Wildlife Rescue & Sanctuary - you will know that we have fought a long battle to save the rescue, trying to raise funds to reduce the amount of the loan we needed to secure the building.

The bridging loan is due to be taken out in late April 2018 and this is our appeal for help to support future loan repayments. We need to raise as much as we can to reduce the capital of the loan.

ANYTHING you can spare - however small - WILL make a difference. No-one takes a wage from the rescue. All money raised has always and will always go towards making a safe, permanent home for the old and disabled animals in our care, while enabling us to remain open 24/7/365 to answer any queries and to help every animal - be it feathered, furry or otherwise - in whatever way they need.

Recently, we were able to give two injured wild foxes, Peggy and Ginger, the veterinary treatment they both desperately needed to survive and the chance to live a long, happy life, thanks to generous donations and reaching out from people across the country who support our rescue's ethos - that all life is equal.

Please help us to carry on helping them.

Thank you.
