Jill Taylor's 'Lights On' Memorial

Donation protected
In loving honor of Jill (MacDonald) Taylor and the beautiful life she led and the amazing program she championed.

In 2010, Jill became an advocate against drunk driving after a drunk driver killed her son, Matthew, who was a passenger in the car.

Her answer to that tragedy was to try and save other parents the grief she and Mark knew too well. She went to work to create the 'Lights On' program which pays to turn the local High School and Middle School into  safe, fun, drug and alcohol free weekend alternatives for the students of Hay River. It provides a place for kids to go on Friday and Saturday nights to avoid some o the risky behaviors popular when there is otherwise nothing else to do. Her program - like many other good ideas - has spread to many schools accross the NWT and has positively impacted thousands of kids and hundreds and hundreds of families.

Every penny you give in her name will go to keeping the lights on and supporting the program she championed and the legacy she built over a lifetime of giving to others.

Thank you for your generosity. If not a monetary donation, reposting this on your facebook page will widen the net of possibilty and add to the goodness this effort hopes spread in Jill's name.
