Who Are We?
Puedo Leer is Granada´s first lending library open and free to the public, with a focus on promoting reading and a love of reading among children. We strive to motivate children to become lifelong readers so that they can succeed academically and economically.
What We Do
We provide access to books through two lending libraries and free services to teachers and parents by lending them books they can enjoy with children. We educate them on the importance of reading and train educators on setting up libraries, and understanding the lending system. We give the children of Granada a place where they are encouraged to learn and play.
Why We Do It
We want to bring the pleasure of reading to as many people in Nicaragua as possible. It is important to increase literacy, assist in educational endeavors, and make libraries community centers for all.

We are raising funds to keep our local libraries open!
Despite the many difficulties, we have been able to continue to operate, which has been a true testament to our local staff capabilities.
In times of unimaginable adversity we must sustain our staff, our library family – no matter the circumstances, we are committed to bringing the love of reading to the children and their families in Nicaragua. More than ever, we recognize and appreciate your incredible support and friendship, which makes our work possible.
