Keep My Friend Housed!
Friends we need some help! My dear friend Aschanti is a young, single mom, who has worked her ass off to get off the street and into housing. Over the last year I've watched this strong and amazing young woman overcome obstacle after obstacle to get housed, get into school, and start working towards her goal of opening an animal rescue center when she finishes her degree. I've watched her become an amazing mother to her 4 1/2 month old daughter, Hazel. And right now, she just needs a little community support to get her through this last hump!
Aschanti is starting school at the end of Aug, which is when she will receive enough financial support through a series of education programs to cover her rent and other living expenses. But right now, she is about $300 short of her Aug. rent and is being threatened with eviction. If just 70 of my Facebook friends donate $5, we'll be able to cover her rent and the fee that GoFundMe charges. We all know how rough things are right now, and the only way we are going to get through this is to help each other. I know we can raise this money and help a girl out!
