Keep Megan Wise Beating The Barnyard Stomper Skins

Dear Stomper Family: As you well know, my daughter Megan Wise and my son-in-law Casey Miller, are two of the hardest-working people in country music. They have traveled across the country numerous times to bring real music and a sense of family to all of you. I watch their Facebook page and I am touched and honored that they are among such a wonderful community of people who have not only been fans, but friends.
Recently, our Miss Megan was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. The good thing (if there can be any good thing about cancer) is that Hodgkins Lymphoma is one of the few cancers I know of that can be “cured”. The cure rate is very high, particularly in its early stages. Megan has met with her oncologist, is about to undergo the tests to determine what stage she is in and we are hopeful she will begin treatment soon after. Once she begins treatments (unfortunately, chemo is still the standard treatment for Hodgkins), she will have a treatment once every other week for up to four months.
All of you who are self-employed know that if you don’t work, you don’t get paid. You all also know that Megan and Casey are troopers and they are not going to miss one single show unless they absolutely must. Despite that, there are medical expenses that will add up, there are bills that will need to be paid, and there is ongoing care Megan will need. More than anything, she needs the help and support of the people who consider themselves to be part of the Stomper Family. Her treatments will begin in mid-February; there are out of pocket costs and deductibles, there are some special dietary needs she will have, and of course there will be costs to try and get treatments on the road when she can.
Y’all, this is my daughter we are talking about. I am asking for us all to come together as a family and help these two people out. Please find it in your heart to give anything you can. If we all do this, then they can move forward without Megan and Casey having to worry so much about the outlay of medical expenses. Please pass this information to anyone who has been entertained by their music and wit, and let’s keep Megan and Casey on the road and in your hearts.
