Keep Donna at Rick's side

Rick and Donna Croushore have been active and integral members of our church and lives for many years. They are always there and at the ready to pitch in and help in any capacity. Their selflessness and caring has endeared them to many of us that consider them not only friends but family. Their love is one that was meant to be and they truly are best friends as well as spouses. While working around their house, as Rick always does, he slipped and fell. It resulted in what they thought was a simple wound, within a matter of days Rick was in the grasp of necrotizing MRSA. He has endured 13 surgeries in less than 10 days, and quite possibly many more. His hospital stay is looking to be several months and it could be a year or more before he is "fully" recovered. This would be difficult enough to deal with close to home, much less hundreds of miles away. He precarious condition will not allow him to be transferred to a facility closer to home. Donna must deal with this in Baltimore. The University of Maryland has the top wound care department in the country for the treatment of MRSA. Having to find a place to live near the hospital, unable to work, bills that slowly but steadily mount up is putting an even heavier burden on an unimaginable situation. Any help for them would be greatly appreciated. No one is ever prepared for a situation like this, and only a very special couple could endure it. He has a long road ahead of him and Donna is his rock. She hasn't left his side, (with the exception of a shower), their children are there when they are able as he was not expected to make it the first few days. His love for Donna and his family helped him fight. This is extremely draining emotionally, physically, and financially. While we can't help with the emotional or physical stress, we can help ease the financial strain. Please give whatever you can. Thank you for your interest and caring, and please pass this along.
