Kedi Chen Memorial Education Fund
Donation protected
The Chen family lost their beloved son Kedi in a hiking accident at Bridal Veil Falls in Provo on October 29, 2016. He was killed along with his dear American host father Brandon Reas.
Upon learning about the accident, Kedi's parents immediately came to Utah from Japan. In the last few days, even though their hearts were broken, they were deeply touched by the kindness of the people here. To them, Kedi was the most intelligent, sweet, and kind boy.
With much sorrow, yet gratitude, they desire to create a memorial fund in honor of their Kedi in Utah so that he can always be remembered by those who love him here.
They have set up an endowment fund at the David O. McKay School of Education at Brigham Young University--the university that Kedi would have attended for his fall camp. They have pledged an initial US$100,000 fund which will provide an annual dividend to support needy students majoring in education. They hope you will join them, Kedi, and Brandon in a generous effort to bless lives through this fund.
