Hi All!
As you may or may not know, this year (2 weeks ago, to be exact!) I am teaching classroom general music for the first time. Exciting, and SCARY! I signed onto this situation at 3 WEEKS NOTICE with nothing but an empty "chapel" as a classroom and badly tuned piano. These first two weeks have been a challenge, but the kids are enjoying every minute and I think I'm having more fun than they are! Though I am getting some percussion instruments for classroom use, the resources I have at the school are VERY limited. I still am in dire need of quite a lot of things in order to make this a successful and rewarding experience for the kids.
-Speakers for playing music in class
-Whiteboard, because I have to buy my own if I want one :(
-Poster materials to brighten up my classroom
-Books about music to read and to be read
-Recorders, a set of 38 for my 3rd graders
-Sheet music because I'M STARTING A CHOIR
-A big circle rug to make managing pre-K and Kindergarten SLIGHTLY easier :)
...and more general classroom supplies, like markers and crayons, staff paper, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, chalk, and ENDLESS SUPPLIES OF STARBURSTS, for my rewards system :)
As you can see, this is quite a list! I want to be able to deliver a top notch experience this year, but I need your help to do it! Every little bit helps. I certainly appreciate it, but more importantly, my students are going to get SO MUCH out of your contribution.
Thanks in advance!
