Kevin & Becky Traptow bring a unique restaurant experience to Red Deer. Cool Beans is quickly becoming a landmark spot in the downtown core, selling great coffee & fresh baking plus great sandwiches & lunch items.
Sometime in the early morning, Sunday Apr 10, Cool Beans was broken into and trashed. It was wanton destruction, spillage, general nastiness. The Traptows are great people, hard workers, and are just trying to make a living. Running a small business is hard work and frequently doesn't pay all the bills. They just opened this week, reaching deep into already stretched pockets to stock the Bus with necessities, and then the break-in happened. So disappointing!!!
So to all of you who know Kevin & Becky, have had one of their fantastic coffees (or some such), or just would like to help get them back on their feet ... Er, wheels, here's your chance! This GoFundMe project is to cover supplies costs, damage to the Mini & Jr Beans (and those vintage Volkswagons are NOT cheap to fix!) and to give them a boost of encouragement to keep going.
