It's our turn to help Chris

In the fall of 2015 Christopher was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. Christopher had surgery, the tumor was successfully removed and then received 6 weeks of radiation. During his radiation, Christopher continued to work full-time as a West Hartford Police Officer. Eventually, life for Chris, Britt, and Brayden returned to normal and they celebrated the holidays with family & friends. Chris looked terrific and had a very positive outlook towards his recovery.

Sadly, Chris recently went for a follow-up appointment and learned the tumor returned. His next step is to receive treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. Although the protocol for treatment is still being finalized, it’s understood he will undergo another surgery to remove the tumor, and rounds of chemotherapy and radiation will follow.

At this point, there are many uncertainties regarding the surgery, recover time, follow-up treatments, and time away from work. Even though he’s maintaining a wonderful and positive attitude, Chris and Britt will face challenges in managing his illness 120 miles from home.

So, in support of this wonderful, young couple (and adorable Brayden), we’ve set-up a go-fund-me page to help alleviate financial stress with the added costs of travelling to Boston, any uncovered medical expenses, and the cost of not working.

Any donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated! Chris really didn’t want this page set-up but knowing he has so many friends and family that love and support him, we know many would want to contribute towards his recovery.

For those of you that don’t know Christopher, his wife Brittney, and son Brayden, here is a little background.

Chris is a devoted husband and father. Two and a half yeas ago they got married, and 15 months later, had a beautiful son named Brayden. 

Chris and Brittany met as teenagers at Rocky Hill High School. Once Chris graduated high school he attended Stony Brook University on a football scholarship, playing TE and earned his degree in business. After graduating, he was hired by the West Hartford Police Department. As a dedicated officer, Chris is now a member of the SWAT Team while Brittney is attending nursing school.
