Running the World for the Animals

Fiona Oakes cares for 400 rescued animals at Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary. This isn't her "job" she is a retained firefighter and her partner Martin works for a bank.
Each month they have to find £10,000 to feed the animals and cover the vets bills.
Fiona took up marathon running 10 years ago to help promote her work with the animals and to show that as a vegan she can perform well in sport.
in 2013 Fiona broke three Guinness World Records in the marathon and amonst other things, is the fastest woman ever to have run a marathon on every Continent plus the North Pole.
On February 8th, all being well, she sets off to run 7 marathons on 7 Continents in just 7 days (the Triple 7 Quest) and will be visiting Melbourne, Abu Dhabi, Paris, Tunis, NYC, Punta Arenas and finishing in Antarctica on valentines day as she does so.
Fiona will take the 'cruelty free' message right around the World, so please support her and share this incredible story as she tries to raise funds to help feed and care for the rescues at Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary as well as show people that as a vegan for over 40 years, her diet is not prohibitive to performance in sport.
