ACSL USA - Saguna's Attendance

  Colegiul National "Andrei Saguna" din Brasov, unul dintre cele mai bune licee din Romania, este, din 2002, un participant constant al concursului international de informatica ACSL. In acest an se afla la a 17-a participare in acest concurs.
  Elevii inscrisi in concurs au facut o treaba excelenta in timpul rundelor locale si regionale de pre-calificare. Prin urmare, echipa de informaticieni a scolii, compusa din 3 elevi impreuna cu profesorul lor indrumator, au fost invitati sa participe la All-Star - faza finala si cea mai prestigioasa a concursului, gazduita de Liga Americana de Informatica (ACSL) pe 26 mai la Barrington High School, Rhode Island, SUA.
  Acest lucru confirma o data in plus preocuparea si interesul pe care le au tinerii români talentati pentru informatica: impreuna cu profesorul lor au petrecut mult timp in afara orelor de curs ca sa pregateasca materia pentru acest concurs.
  Din nefericire, le lipsesc fondurile necesare pentru a calatori in US, ca sa participe la faza finala All-Star a acestui concurs - aproximativ 1250 EUR de persoana, necesari pentru transport si cazare. Fara sprijin financiar, ei nu isi pot permite sa participe si sa concureze alaturi de mai mult de 200 de echipe in care se regasesc unii dintre cei mai buni programatori liceeni din lume.
  Am creat aceasta campanie de strangere de fonduri pentru a sprijini tot efortul pe care ei l-au depus in aceasta competitie, pentru a le rasplati munca intensa.
  Va rog sa va alaturati acestei campanii de strangere a banilor necesari pentru ca ei sa poata participa la concursul din SUA.
  Toti banii care se vor strange in cadrul acestei campanii vor fi utilizati pentru a acoperi costurile de participare ale echipei la concursul ACSL din 26 mai 2018, de la Barrington, Rhode Island, SUA.

  National College "Andrei Saguna" in Brasov, one of the best high-schools in Romania, is a constant participant since 2002 in the ACSL International Computer Science Contest. This year they signed up for their 17th time for that contest.
  They did an excellent job during the local and regional pre-qualifying competition stages. Consequently, the Computer Science Team of the school, composed of three students and their teacher, were invited to compete in the All-Star - the final and the most prestigious phase of the contest, hosted by American Computer Science League (ACSL) on 26th May in Barrington High School, Rhode Island, USA.
  This confirms once more the involvement and the interest of the young gifted Romanian students for Computer Science: they spent with their teacher a lot of extra-school hours preparing for the topics of the contest.
  Unfortunately, they lack the necessary funds to travel to the US in order to participate at the final All-Star phase of the contest - approximately 1250 EUR per person, required for transportation and accommodation. Without financial support, they can't afford to participate and compete alongside more than 200 teams featuring some of the best high-school programmers in the world.
  I created this fundraising campaign in order to support all the effort they put into that competition, to reward their intense work. Please join this campaign to raise the funds necessary so that they can attend the US All-Star Contest.
  All funds raised in this campaign will be used to cover the costs for the student's attendance at the American Computer Science League (ACSL) annual competition on May 26, 2018 in Barrington, Rhode Island, USA.
