Expedition Experience
Donation protected
We are 4th grade teachers at Prescott Elementary. With the recent budget cuts, it is becoming harder to give our students authentic, real world experiences. We value fieldwork- it is when we take the classroom to a different learning location.
Our current expedition is on rocks and minerals. Students will be learning about how rocks and landforms change over time, as well as why rocks and minerals are so important to our daily life.
What better way to learn about rocks and landforms than taking students out into nature? We are currently raising money to provide transportation for our fieldwork experiences. We are very fortunate to live in an area with many natural land formations. About 20 miles south of our school is the Maquoketa Caves. The students will have the opportunity to explore the caves and make some great memories in the process!
Our students will forever be grateful for the experiences we can provide them. We would need the funds by mid-April.
Thank you so much for your donations!
