Cancer Awareness Tournament

Donation protected
For the past seven years, Mt. Carmel High School has hosted a “Cancer Game” to bring awareness and raise money for cancer research. For the second consecutive year, 10 other teams will join Mt. Carmel High School for their cancer awareness tournament - the Kendra Couch Classic - named in honor of a cancer victim and dear friend of the organization.

This event brings the community together for a good time that supports a great cause. For each game of the tournament, players will be wearing jerseys displaying the names of people who have been affected by this terrible disease and playing in their honor. After the tournament, the jerseys and other items are auctioned off and 100% proceeds raised from the event will be donated to UCSD Moores Cancer Center.

This year, increasing the event from a single game to an entire tournament has also increased the logistical costs. We are hoping to raise money to help with those costs so that we can make the event as special as we can for those deserving people. Anything that we raise above our goal will be donated directly to UCSD Moores Cancer Center.

We hope to one day raise enough money for cancer research and treatment that there will be no more names to put on the jerseys.
