Watson Family

Donation protected
Ford Rawsonville Quality Engineer Richard Watson was involved in a head on collision with a drunk driver on the night of May 2nd on I-75 near Beaverdam Ohio. The family was returning home from a vacation to Florida.

Watson, 44, was not traveling alone. His wife Deena Frye, 42, his daughters Chloe Watson, 18, and Colby Watson, 10, and his son Connor Watson, 11, were all transported to local medical facilities in Ohio with broken bones but all of them are expected to make full recoveries.

Watson’s son Christopher, 15, was also traveling with his family but lost his life in the accident. Christopher was a student at Lincoln High School in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Every member of the Rawsonville staff are deeply saddened by Christopher’s death. There is no word in the English language to describe the feeling of losing one’s child. That is why we stand with Rick Watson and his family as they grieve for Christopher. A Go Fund Me account has been set up to help the Watson family with medical, and burial expenses. Any remaining funds will be allocated toward a scholarship fund for Chloe, Colby, and Connor Watson.
