My son Keith, has always loved football and as a young boy of 13 thought he was going to be the next David Beckham. Unfortunately a brain tumor ended his hopes and dreams of ever playing football again.
Now a father of 3 children one of whom loves football and enjoys playing and he wanted to join a football team.
When inquiries were made two years ago Keith discovered that there was a shortage of football coaches and the best way to get his son signed up to a team would be for him to become a coach.
He has been coaching the same team of kids now since they were 7 years old and in his words.
"Ever player turns up for training every week and always at every game and give 100%. They are also supported by a lovely group of parents that give up their weekends to support their kids.
The kids have had the same football kit for two years and they are looking really faded and a little tatty. It would be such a treat to see them march onto the pitch full of pride in a new kit. Not much to ask for a great bunch of kids"
