Kause for Kerala

As many of you already know, Kerala has endured a monstrous sum of over 12 feet of rain throughout the past three months. Houses have been destroyed. Infrastructure has been demolished. People have even died. The floods of this monsoon season have been the roots of the most excruciating of hardships and the most catastrophic of tragedies in God's Own Country.

For me, Kerala has been the scene of fond memories and moments of joy during the summer time, so to see this state and its people experience such devastation is to see a second home be destroyed. 

I yield full confidence in the fact that Kerala's innate beauty will one day be restored to levels even greater than those of its former days, for it is the face that has been restored after being marred by blood and dust that is the most magnificent. But, we must act now. I have created Kause for Kerala, an effort to raise money for the relief efforts in Kerala, to support the momentous initiative that the world has forged to help Kerala. I ask that you donate money not simply to help the relief efforts, but so that you can furthermore expand the bounds of your intrinsic sphere of generosity.

All funds contributed to Kause for Kerala will be donated to the Rotary Cochin Global Foundation, an organization whose work has positively impacted the lives of countless citizens in Kerala. For logistical purposes, funds will be withdrawn by Tessie Chalissery, who will then donate the money to the Foundation.
