Fight against Breast Cancer
Aloha Kakou,
We are a few of Kaui's long time nursing friends who decided to set this go fund me page up to help support Kaui through her battle with breast cancer. Kaui was diagnosed in November with stage 2 breast cancer. She will begin 6 months of chemotherapy in mid February followed by 4 weeks of radiation. During this time she will be unable to work. Our goal is to help relieve some financial stress so that Kaui may focus on her health and recovery. Anyone that knows Kaui will know that she does not ask for help, but always helps others. Kaui has two sons, Ikaika and Kaimipono, and her newest joy, her first grandchild Emalia. She has been a nurse for 25 years, including multiple volunteer medical missions to less developed countries. She is also a passionate paddler and has dedicated her time to share her knowledge with paddlers of all ages.
