"Hope is a verb with its sleeves rolled up."
Katheryn Trenshaw's life changed overnight when she was diagnosed with a very hard to detect form of Breast Cancer. A passionate, playful, insightful workshop leader and colorful artist with a seventeen year old son, Katheryn is tall and fit with wild hair. She is a vigorous bike rider, kayaker and swimmer and she now has only a slim chance of surviving the next ten years.
Katheryn is one of those irrepressible people who dives in and rolls up her sleeves. If she cannot raise the money to receive alternative treatment we all loose a compassionate and courageous woman who has created beauty out of all her life challenges.
Katheryn has had a mastectomy with complications, and the diagnosis is advanced stage invasive lobular breast cancer, which is rare and hard to treat. The drugs and treatments that are most effective, with the least side effects, against this cancer are Hyperthermia and Cancer fighting intensive IV treatments, which are incredibly expensive, and unfortunately, in the UK, these are not available. Without these treatments the prognosis is not good, 93% die within ten years. With them the cancer could be cleared, and with almost no side effects. The best and least expensive option is for Katheryn to continue her care by returning for more tests and treatment to Sanoviv Hospital in Baja California, Mexico.
This needs to happen as quickly as possible. Please help Katheryn pay for her treatment.
“I strongly recommend that Katheryn goes to the Sanoviv Hospital as soon as possible. In my opinion she has the best possible treatment with the best prognosis there and the staff there will take care of her in so many different aspects that she can relax and be with her healing process in an optimal way. She will need a lot of money for that. Please help her if you can.”

and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

Questions are put forward to present to patients/anyone looking for well-being:
"what kind of life and lifestyle would make them glad to get up in the morning and glad to go to bed at night, would give them the maximum zest and enthusiasm in life? Would use all of them so that on physical, psychological, and spiritual levels they would express themselves in ways syntonic and "natural" to their entire being?

Fantastic life affirming and very powerful timely read which I believe anyone would benefit from.
Every time you leave home,
Another road takes you
Into a world you were never in. New strangers on other paths await.
New places that have never see you
Will startle a little at your entry
Old places that know you well
Will pretend nothing
Changed since your last visit.
When you travel, you find yourself
Alone in a different way,
More attentive now
To the self you bring along,
Your more subtle eye watching
You abroad: and how what meets you touches that part of the heart
That lies low at home:
How you unexpectedly attune
To the timbre in some voice
Opening a conversation
You want to take in
To where your longing
Has pressed hard enough
Inward, on some unsaid dark,
To create a crystal of insight
You could not have known
When you travel
A new silence
Goes with you.
And if you listen
You will hear
What your heart would
Love to say.
A journey can become a sacred thing
Make sure, before you go,
To take the time
To bless your going forth
To free your heart of ballast
So that the compass of your soul
Might direct you toward
The territories of spirit
Where you will discover
More of your hidden life,
And the urgencies
That deserve to claim you.
May you travel in an awakened way,
Gathered wisely into your inner ground;
That you many not waste the invitations
Which wait along the way to transform you.
May you travel safely, arrive refreshed.
And live your time away to its fullest
Return home more enriched and free
To balance the gift of days which call you.

Hi Kathryn, A really beautiful poem. Francoise, Emery and I had a great winter in New Zealand living on the road and are now back nose to the grindstone. The centre does well. Open heart, love and big hug, Davidx
