Kate’s Road to Recovery

Last Tuesday (May 14) while enjoying breakfast with her co-workers, our dear friend Kate Estandarte suddenly suffered a brain hemorrhage as a result of an undiagnosed arteriovenous malformation (AVM).
The damage was so sudden and severe, she had to be rushed to the emergency room of Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital and then airlifted to the Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center for emergency brain surgery.
Currently, she’s in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU). At this time, we still do not know the long-term effects of her aneurysm. All we know is that she will have to stay in the hospital for quite a while, followed by any necessary inpatient rehab.
Our Kate is a fighter, and she has been showing great signs of improvement ever since she came out of surgery. However, the next few months will be difficult - emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Kate - along with her husband Rupert, and their children Kaia, Mallie, and Rokko - will need our help. For those of us fortunate enough to call their family our friends, we have all witnessed their loving and caring ways. Now is the time for us to repay their love and kindness through our prayers, love and support.
And if you have anything to spare - any amount at all - this will surely help them get through these trying times. Funds raised will be used to pay for medical bills and general living expenses to get their lives back on track.
Let us all pitch in and spread the word. Kate needs our help, so let’s make sure she gets all of it.
