On July 22, 2014 Kate (13) was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a type of childhood brain cancer that begins when normal cells in the brain change and grow uncontrollably forming a malignant tumor. The next day she underwent surgery to remove the malignant tumor. Medulloblastoma is a very aggressive and fast spreading form of cancer.
Since November 2014, Kate has begun her fight and continues to undergo weekly chemotherapy treatments to prevent any chances of the tumor coming back.
Throughout this process Kate has lost most motor skills and speech. She has gone to speech therapy and has improved her speech, going from not being able to speak to being able to form sentences. She has also attended physical therapy and occupational therapy and is continuing to progress.
We are asking you to join and support Kate in her fight against childhood cancer. Your donations will help Kate with all her medical needs and support to beat the cancer.
