Katelyn's Medical & Long Term Care

Katelyn is a 21 year old full time college student at Grossmont College with aspirations of transferring to UCSD with a declared major of Chemetry. On evening of 19 March 2017, Katelyn and her boyfriend Dominic (male nurse) took a walk in their El Cajon CA neigborhood after his shift. Around 11:50 pm they were assaulted with eggs by four teenage girls in a Silver Lexus SUV.  The vehicle came back a second time and ran over Katelyn crushing her right leg and ankle. She has had two surgeries, the second being 24 March and is said to have several more to reconstruct ankle and leg. Katelyn is resting and requires persistant care, She has had to drop her classes this semester and is very depressed over the incident and long term pronosis of having metal pins and screws in her body and no being able to participate in outdoor activities.  I do know that this was likely unintentional but the driver of this vehicle is still at large. There is an ongoing investigation so details can not be shared. This account will be used first to put a reward on the apprehension and conviction of the driver using CrimeStoppers and my family will match every dollar donanted for that purpose. In the event the reward is not claimed the funds will be put towards my daughters longer term medical care and education.  The incident was reported on by local media and can be seen on the following link:

Katelyn has asked for her privacy and is not allowing any recent photos of her in her current condition (black eye, cast etc.) The photo is of her is one I cherish as it shows her light hearted innocence and fun loving way.  Thank you for all your prayers and best wishes, they do help.
