Cat got a break, now pad the fall !

It's a calm summer night at the horse show, all the braiders are up and working away on their ladders.  A peaceful moonlit evening, engrossed in a new tale on audiobooks, and twisting away the hours until the sun comes up.....then  BAM!!!  Out of no where, the horse your braiding swats at a fly, gets their leg caught up in your ladder, and you're down on the ground in a tornado of shavings before you even realize what happened!

Catherine "CAT" Wolstenholme, just recently found herself experiencing that shocking throw. She was tossed off her ladder, and is now down for the count with a broken leg and needing surgery.

It's a fear we all hold, as braiders and horse people alike, sustaining an injury, needing surgery, and being unable to work for months to follow.  In addition, with health insurance in a continually transitioning state of affairs, all medical expenses are coming out of HER pocket!

Cat is a supportive member of the Hunter Jumper community. For decades, she has worked countless nights and days braiding and grooming, making sure everyone's horses are turned out at their best.  She loves the sport, encourages its riders and animals, and supports her braiding team and coworkers.  She has played a large role in making everyone's horse show a success behind the scenes!

It's our time, as members of the horse community, to show our support and give her the break she REALLY deserves! Cat has been working strong, and going on endless weeks of horse shows for years now.  During her time of rest and recovery from surgery, our support will allow her to have the piece of mind she needs to keep her quality of life while she heals.

We are all lucky to have such great friends and family in this sport, and when times get rough, take pride in knowing that your support is met with gratitude and it makes us all stronger horse women and men in our community.

Cheers to a speedy recovery Cat!  We all hope you find comfort on this healing stage of your journey.  You are in our thoughts and prayers:)
