Karen's fight against Rare Brain Cancer
Donation protected
Update- in the last 24hrs, more information has come to light in regards to the operation with Dr teo and the risks out weigh the operation itself in regards to risks being coma, paralysis, stroke or death. Due to this she had decided quality of life and seeing her granddaughter as much as she can.
Moving forward, medically there will be radiation treatment, a regime of natural therapies to contribute and assist in Karen's healing journey.
Donations that have already been given will be going towards alternative treatments and we will keep you posted as it evolves. Karen would love to say her heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for all of your support and hope.
Doctor Teo is an amazing doctor, he has saved many lives. Although the harsh reality for our family is that my mum will not be going through this surgery. For Doctor Charlie Teo to narrow down exactly what tumour my mum has, he would have to give her a biopsy. This biopsy sadly has high chances of my mother not surviving the surgery, becoming paralysed or being left in a coma. I can not begin to explain the heartache we are all facing. Although we are not going down without a fight. There are other treatment roads for my mum. We appreciate all the generous donations our family, friends, and even strangers have donated. With hearing this news, we encourage anyone to contact us in regards to donations! We appreciate everyone who has taken the time to share and spread the word of this horrible thing we now call reality. Again, my mum is strong and will fight through every treatment, every hurdle, because of her faith and the faith of everyone around her!
She has decided to have radiation and any natural therapies that are conducive to her healing and peace of mind ...
