I'm not even sure which category to place this under. My friend has lost so much this week. The picture is of her daughter and now late husband.
She lost her home to a fire on Monday. Unfortunately, her husband was inside. They have a very beautiful 13 year old daughter together (Another picture below.) My friends birthday was yesterday and today they turned off the life support on her husband. (11/27/16.)
She, herself, is having health problems on top of all of this. She's having difficulty swallowing textures, her voice is extremely hoarse, she has lost a massive amount of weight (without trying) ... she will see a specialist on 12/2/16.
She is in need of new things. Her main concern until today was her daughter and clothes for her to go back to school in. Remember, clothes are very important to our teens. She has lost so much. To go back to school in things she's not comfortable in would be even more devastating.
Today, the concern is more about paying for the funeral. I have told her to contact DHHR to see if they have any funds left to help but there is no guarantee that there is and they only pay 2500 anyway.
She will also need furniture, appliances and clothes for herself once she gets a new place.
If everyone reading this could just give 10-20 dollars, I'm sure we'd reach the goal! I know it's Christmas but THIS is exactly what Christmas is about!!!
