Kappa Delta Omega Chi Shamrock 2018

Prevent Child Abuse America was founded by one of our own sisters, Donna Stone, in 1972, and Kappa Delta officially partnered with her organization in 1981. For nearly 40 years, Kappa Delta has been a proud affiliate of Prevent Child Abuse America, encouraging all its sisters to promote healthy childhoods and family practices nationwide.

Each year, every single Kappa Delta chapter across the country hosts a fundraising event called Shamrock to raise funds and awareness for efforts to prevent child abuse nationwide and in the local community of each chapter. The Omega Chi chapter of Kappa Delta at Cornell University holds their Shamrock event every Fall, and this year we will be holding a bubble soccer tournament! The concept behind this event is that we want to provide a fun, lively experience that is reminiscent of the experience that every child is deserving of during childhood, and how such a positive experience can be hindered by child abuse. We want to emphasize more than ever that no child should be stripped of  happy and fulfilling life due to unhealthy family practices. The work that PCAA does for healthy childhood advocacy is unparalleled.
