GroovaRoo™ Dance Update: Two weeks ago, we woke up to find that a video we posted on Facebook had gone viral overnight at 3 million views in 2 days (now at over 7 million views). Our video was featured online today in People Magazine , Today Show , Daily Mail UK , Woman's Day , Mashable and Global News Canada. Because of this instant overnight attention, we were inundated with emails from around the world asking us to bring GroovaRoo™ to their community.
We have received emails from countries such as England, Scotland, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Germany, South Africa, Eastern and Western Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Canada (as well as all across the United States). While the prospect of expanding GroovaRoo™ around the world is exciting, it's also overwhelming as Amber is pregnant and we need some help. Ideally, we'd love to hire a small staff to help with the daily correspondence, social media marketing, event coordination and video production for DVDs.
Because of the huge response we've gotten so far from across the globe, we feel called to act now to pursue this as our full-time endeavor. Meeshi teaches Swing and Soul Line dance classes in San Diego five nights a week. Amber supports women in their transition into motherhood as a birth doula and nanny. GroovaRoo™ is the perfect marriage of our two strengths and passions. Deep down inside, we know that this is what we were meant to share on this planet and we'd love your help as we transition into making this our full-time work.
As you can see from the picture above, we have a baby boy on the way (Aemon Anjali) and we're really excited to start our new life as a family. For us, GroovaRoo™ is merely a small part of our greater life's mission to help build communities of families around the world where dance is an integral part of everyday life.
