After a fall over 10 years ago, JT's life has been plagued with shaking Grand Mal, Petite Mal and nocturnal seizures.
A decade of life altering Epilepsy has resulted in experimenting with over 16 different medications and treatments, trials with home remedies, and countless hospital stays. Still, JT's Epilepsy has worsened. Just 5 weeks ago he was hospitalized after enduring 7 Grand Mal seizures within 6 hours.
JT married his wife, Dinesha, in December of 2009, and they have been blessed with 2 beautiful boys, now 7 and 8, who both have a love for sports and animals.
Despite all of the hardships they have faced, Dinesha and JT managed to start a small home business, Coastsalish Concepts, in 2018. JT gives his best in helping with this venture, as well as playing soccer for a local team, and helping to coach soccer and golf with his son's teams, when his health allows.
June 11, 2019 is the date that JT will be undergoing an exploratory surgery of the brain, when neurosurgeons at Seattle's Harborview Medical Center will be opening his skull to monitor his seizure activity.
These tests will hopefully result in a second procedure the following week, where they will operate on his brain to remove damaged tissue to lessen the seizures. If successful, JT will go from experiencing seizures every day, to a handful a year.
Although JT and Dinesha have an amazing support system, made up of family and close friends, they still need help.
My hope is to help them offset the costs for travel/gas, daily parking, food, medical cost, etc, to help make their and their boys' lives a little easier and more comfortable during this difficult time, and in the weeks of recovery that will follow.
