Lindsay memorial fund

Our dear friend Kandy Lee lost her beautiful daughter Lindsay last week. Ann Sofie and I, John Colen are setting up this gofundme.com page to help our friend cover the expense incurred during the past three years of caregiving her daughter Lindsay. She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and depression. Kandy took care of her and paid all of her bills in the past three years. Lindsay applied for disability and was scheduled for a hearing in February 2018. Since January, Lindsay stopped taking her medicine and spiraled down in a very deep depression. She felt isolated and was not leaving the house. Seeing no way out she took her own life last Tuesday at her apartment in Palm Springs.  Kandy is now dealing  with staggering bills as the disability will not come through. This is more stress and heartache than a parent who just lost their child should ever have to experience.

Kandy has been a major community supporter with 14 years of fundraising for DAP food drive. She received the Everyday Hero award for her unwavering support to DAP and the community. She and Lindsay also dog-sat and house-sat for many of our dear friends to help make ends meet. She is the best friend to everyone and it's our turn to help HER out. I, John and Sofie came up with this idea so she can pay her bills  and lift some of the weight she is carrying right now. We are asking our community to help out one of the best people we know in her time of need. Kandy would never ask for anyone's help but we feel she deserves our support now.
