Help us set up KAMA in Oxford!

Donation protected
KAMA (courses and events run by refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants) was established in Vienna 11 years ago, and has since blossomed across Austria, Germany and across the pond in Washington, DC.

We are setting up a new branch of KAMA in Oxford, aiming to put on a programme of weekly and monthly courses, workshops, and events for the local community to participate in, run by refugees and asylum seekers.

These courses can be anything imaginable – languages, dance, music, cooking, yoga, history, politics... What a positive and humane way to battle against the current trend of ‘demonising’ migration - by celebrating the richness of cultures it has brought to the UK for centuries.

We have had a whirlwind inaugural month and we need to raise £1000 to get off the ground this summer!

Our costs include:
- Venue hire
- Volunteer training
- Food and drinks for our inaugural event on July 7th
- Transport reimbursement for our teachers
- Publicity costs

KAMA Oxford aims to give current refugees and asylum seekers a voice, confidence, skills for their future, integration and just fun and humanity amidst all the bureaucracy, an adrenaline rush from taking control and sharing their passions.

If you're able to donate even a small amount will go a long way! Thank you for your support!
