Kaitlyn "Kate" Pepper

On July 25, 2014 Kaitlyn, age 13 was diagnosed with an inoperable grade 3 Brain Tumor "Anaplastic Astrocytoma". Kate went through chemotherapy and radiation and was successful in fighting cancer and was in remission for 4 years.
April 2018, cancer returned, this time, more aggressive. At the age of 17, as Kate is preparing for her Senior High School year, she is now also having to prepare to fight cancer a 2nd time. The traditional methods of chemotherapy and radiation have not been effective in stopping the tumor's growth this time around. So, other methods of treatment, are being sought in order to win this fight with cancer.
My "Why" for organizing this campaign, my name is Pamela Baker. I am a friend of the family and my son is best friends/boyfriend to Kaitlyn. So over the years we have become close. Someway, somehow, I wanted to help the family because I can't imagine how difficult this journey has been. A little background about Kate's mom. Her name is Ms. Tyliece Pepper is a widowed mother who is committed to helping her daughter through this most difficult time. Ms. Tyliece had to take several leaves from work and an official leave of leave of absence from work in December 2018 in order to care for Kate. Tyliece has been so humble and grateful for any assistance, and never ask for any help. So, this was a way to show her that her community and friends care and we want to show support.
With the mounting medical bills, co-pays, medication, and Kate having to be home schooled, seeking treatment from out of state, the costs are quickly adding up.
The goal is to provide any assistance to this family. All money will be used to cover all cost associated with the treatment and provision for Kaitlyn.
