On December 19th, 2018 the beautiful and strong Kaitlin Geraghty was taken away from us. She was only 22 years old and accomplished more in her life than most people at her age and positively influenced countless lives.
Behind, she leaves her mom, Rachel Geraghty. Being a single mom Rachel has had to hold 3 jobs to help keep up with expenses. Kaitlin’s passing has left Rachel with an enormous amount of student loans which despite Kaitlin’s passing, will not be forgiven by the banks!
As part of this amazing community, we feel an obligation to come together and raise money to help Rachel mitigate some of these expenses.
ALL donations will go directly to Rachel.
This effort comes as a result of how much Kaitlin has contributed to our community during her short life.
A bit about Kaitlin: Kaitlin was a 1st year law student at the Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, D.C. Her goal was to enter advocacy law and help those with disabilities & continue her philanthropic lifestyle. On May 20, 2018, Kaitlin graduated from Boston University with a BA in Political Science & with a minor in Special Education. She was a proud graduate of Oceanside High School in 2014, after spending 4+ years helping those in her community. She was a valued leader of DECA, Key Club, National Honor Society, Best Buddies, Sport Night, and assisted the Oceanside Kiwanis Club in many community and charity events.
