Kai Serrano Recovery Fund

We are raising funds for our friend Kai Serrano, aka Baja Trout. Kai is a loving husband and father, a competitive cyclist, outdoors-man, adventurer and all around awesome guy!
On May 2nd, during one of his regular lunchtime bicycle rides with his coworkers, Kai had a serious accident with a delivery van. Kai sustained 10 broken ribs, a broken scapula, a broken collar bone and both shoulders were fractured, with one separated. Kai underwent 5 surgeries to repair the damage on May 4th, then moved to a rehab center on May 10th for physical therapy. He was finally released and is back home today, May 16th and will be in outpatient PT for the next phase of his healing. Great progress!
Kai expects to make a full recovery, but it will be slow and painful… Kai’s wife, Tina, is by his side every step of the way.
Obviously, this will present a financial hardship for their family. Kai will be off work for some months (total duration is unknown) and Tina is also taking time off to support Kai. In addition, the medical expenses will be a burden. We are raising money to help Kai and his family offset these unplanned expenses.
