Bevery Smith has been on a 25-year spiritual journey with 8 rescue horses. With no prior experience, she purchased her first horse in her 40's. After exploring traditional methods, she finally took paper and pencil to the pasture and learned directly from her horses. Beverly discovered that equines are the true whisperers, and she instead was the horse listener.

"When horses whisper to us from their endless source of wisdom, our lives are profoundly changed."

These horses who have been rescued have become rescuers. No longer victims, the horses have new purpose in their lives and have become "center stage" here at the ranch. They breathe into the human spirit and restore in the human heart that which has been seemingly lost.They call us to linger a little bit longer in those brief moments of joy, peace, contentment, love, and ecstasy that spontaneously find ways into our lives.

The herd also opens inspirational doors to artists, writers, and musicians; brings opportunity to at-risk youth, healing to those recovering from abuse, and support to those with Alzheimer's and dementia.

Their pasture is currently located on the Mendocino Coast near Fort Bragg, California.
