Kaarisa's Cancer Memorial Fund

She lost her battle on Thursday, January 12th in the hospital surrounded by family. She gave it everything she had, down to her last hours getting a blood transfusion. Her heart just couldn't keep going. 

She was the best mom three kids could ever ask for, a mother figure to many and a cheer-leader to those who described themselves as shy or an underdog. She believed in always leaving a place better off than she found it. In many ways she has by all the lives she touched.

This GoFundMe campaign will remain active to help cover her medical expenses and to help her leave her husband in less stress than he already has to bear by her sudden loss.

For those who would rather avoid the 7.9% fees and transaction costs of an additional $0.30 each, you may contact her husband directly with your donations or reach out to me, Holli Margell, her daugther. We realize though that her life touched so many far away and this site and service may be a faster, easier one to use. I'll work to update the campaign with off-line donations so that everyone can see the support recieved along the way.

Kaarisa's breast cancer has aggressively spread to the point of hospitalization and as close to immediate chemotherapy treatment as possible. Her life and the life of her husband and their small business have been dramatically focused on healing for a week solid with an unknown timeline for going home.


Her first medical bills are rolling in along with mounting costs - these funds will help offset some of them that insurance won't cover. Plus, the unforeseen travel expenses being a 6 hour drive from home where she is recieving excellent care surrounded by friends and family.
