Help La Vista's Staff - Irma 2017

As many of you know, category 5 Hurricane IRMA, the most powerful hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic has destroyed everything in its path in the Caribbean and continues to threaten other countries. The full force of IRMA was felt as the eye passed directly over St. Maarten.
As shown through our Facebook Page, La Vista has sustained significant damage with many of the suites having been blown away. Even more unfortunate, however, has been the news that about 95% of St. Maarten has been destroyed. Included in this statistic are the homes and belongings of our staff members and their families here at La Vista. Although we have no way of assessing the full extent of the damage it is safe to assume that it's severe.
On top of all of this there is another hurricane; Jose - that has developed in the wake of IRMA and the people of St. Maarten are unable to prepare properly and have been going to extraordinary measures to ensure their survival. There is no water, no electricity, and the only radio station currently available for updates and information is laser 101 (listen online at laser101.fm)
We have been overwhelmed by the messages of hope, prayer, and support we've been receiving and hope that you're able to donate to help our staff out during this unimaginable time. This fundraiser is focused on the staff members of La Vista Resort and their families. All funds raised will be used to assist them in any way possible over the next coming months.
We are asking for your help and generosity towards our staff members who have cared for you on your vacations time and time again over the past 30 years. We continue to hope and pray that Jose will not destroy what is left of our home and that La Vista's staff members and the rest of St. Maarten will be able to move forward and rebuild what once was a paradise.
