Praying for diesel

 



 I travel up and down the east coast in a bus to different cities, farms and communities with the purpose of connecting them, building a bridge, a nework of these people and places. I work and learn with other people who are building sustainable communities using alternative energy, water and food systems which work symbiotically with the enviroment, feeding people, homeless advocacy, setting up free stores, libraries and schools, playing music and working through many causes at creating a better world through action!
     Another purpose is of building off grid free schools in many of the communities I am a part of. I am currently building the first of these schools in Tenessee at shut up and grow it, an experiment of learning through experience. This school is learning in action, building the school is part of the "school" itself. It is made to be an example of what a community can do together, an example of how to build sustainable using the resources available at that particular community. 







     Some of what I do is, but is not limited to; farming, permaculture, helping run farmstands, gathering wild herbs and making herbal medicine, facilitating educational programs for children and adults, helping to run communities using concensous, mediation and non violent communication principles, writing and documenting experience, information and progress and sharing this information with others, building awareness of many different issues, helping as many people as I can everyday in every way.
     I carry a kitchen, library, musical instruments, media equipment, seeds, arts and crafts, street medic kit and herbal medicine and share all of what I have with others for edcational purposes.
     The bus itself is an example of one way to live more sustainably; it has solar panels which provides electricity and it also runs on waste vegatable oil .  A note added here to say that although my bus is converted to run on veggie oil I had to get my fuel injection system cleaned because it was all clogged up with animal fat so  because of this I have not gone back to using the waste veggie oil, which would be the reason for the title to this campain. Diesel is not the only expense, but it is the biggest expense. 
     What I need is help funding my bus and the supplies I need to keep building the school, adding one more layer. Some of the supplies I need for this next layer would be a tarp and roofing paint, hay, and/or straw.
      I call this my Prayer for diesel........... to be amonst those building a world that is sustainable, that is to give more than we take as a people, to ourselves, to our communities, to our enemies, to be an example, to live it and to breathe it, to make music and sing, to help women and children, to help birth, to learn and to teach, to help build and grow, to share it and to spread it and to LOVE, for this to be my focus, for this I give all my energy and passion, so to do this I am praying for diesel !
