Felix Huet is a 27-year old from the Cowichan Valley who was diagnosed in the late spring of 2018 with testicular cancer. Felix is a kind and caring young man, born and raised in the Cowichan Valley.
Growing up in the Valley, Felix graduated from Frances Kelsey Secondary in 2009. After graduating high school Felix remained in the valley to pursue his love for music through DJ-ing various events and parties. While Felix loved to DJ, he developed a new passion for mechanics.
In September 2017 Felix started to pursue his passion for mechanics through beginning a trades program at VIU in Nanaimo. Upon being diagnosed, Felix continued with his schooling in order to finish his first year of Heavy Duty Mechanics. The following day after finishing his first year of the program Felix had surgery to deal with the cancer. Following the surgery Felix underwent blood tests pre-chemo and it was discovered that the cancer had come back aggressively.
Felix is currently not covered under any employment insurance plan and does not quality for Employment Insurance. Both living expenses and the costs of rehabilitation have become overwhelming. Any amount of money raised will go a long way to helping Felix move forward with both his treatment, recovery and life.
Felix has asked that his father Deni Huet, act as his beneficiary in dealing with all funds raised.
