Kar'retta's PhD Graduation Dreams

Would the PhD Candidates for the Doctoral degrees please stand? It's been 12 years since I've been longing to hear those words and I'm glad to announce its going to happen! My name is Kar'retta Venable and I'm graduating from Howard University's Program in Atmospheric Sciences with my PhD this spring! As I am embarking on the completion of my academic matriculation, I need your help with facilitating my dream to walk across the stage at graduation with my family celebrating this once in a lifetime accomplishment . The costs associated with graduation fees, regalia, annocements, pictures, tickets, travel, housing, and meals for a week trip between Georgia and Washington D.C. for myself are going to be expensive to say the least and are unfortunately cost prohibitive at this point. As a Howard University tradition, only the PhD Candidates have the privilege to walk across the stage during the graduation commencement and I'm seeking your assistance to make this dream which has been 12 year's in the making come true! I would like to thank my family, friends, and colleagues for their continued and ongoing support through my career as a research scientist specializing in Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences!
